Event for lay public
The Long Night of the Sciences in Berlin and Potsdam is a joint project of the scientific institutions of the region. In the so-called smartest night of the year, numerous institutions open their doors to the public and offer science to participate. Visitors are given interesting insights into basic and application-oriented university research and new research results.
BeCAT offers a tour of the Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product (ATMP) manufacturing facility.
These future-oriented medicinal products, often referred to as "living drugs," are leading to revolutionary treatment options, but require a completely new way of manufacturing - highly personalized, highly specialized, and highly innovative.
The guided tour includes a visit to the clean room lab where you can see how ATMPs are made and where ATMPs are explained to you.
